carburated
off the top of my head you need intake gaskets, either a fuel pressure regulator to bring the pressure down enough to use in the carb, intake and carb. im sure their is more to it but Im just thinking basic, its a sunday night afterall..
distributer, ignition box, carb intake, carb, figure out how to attact your linkage, fuel pressure regulator, return line to the tank. only run you about $900-$1000 if you did it with good new stuff. good news is you can make a quick 50hp out of the deal.
650cfm double pumper carb $329.95
edelbrock performer rpm intake (non air gap) $159.88
carb feed line for 4150 carb $15.95
holley fuel regulator (no return line) $25.95
msd ignition 6al (rev limiter) $229.88
msd pro billet distruibter $225.95
$987.56, thats all good stuff. you can do it much cheaper if you dont plan on making the engine more serious some day or dont plan on doing serius drag racing.

efi is good but when you switch to carb you can get a better intake and what not and make more power. on a 1500hp engine the efi only made 9hp less and 17lb ft than a carb. they are both equel in my mind its just easier to use a carb. no more not starting when its hot, or other gremlins. with fuel injection if you have a good intake leak the engine will barley run. with a carb it runs much better just whistles
I just completed the swap 2 weeks ago. I started off with a holley 600cfm and edelbrock torker manifold. I replaced all the fuel lines with 1/2 aluminum fuel line. I have a holley blue pump that came with a regulator. I bought a granetelli pickup for the gas tank instead of modifying the efi pickup. I have a ford duraspark distributer for a 85 mustang and used a msd 6al box instead of the duraspark ignition. I also bought a msd blaster coil and didn't reuse the ecore coil. You could definitly do it cheaper then the way I did but I felt I'd do it right the first time.
ya if i guy felt like going the junkyard route you could do it for a $100, just get the intake and carb off just about any 289 or 302, and nab the distribter and duraspark box. it would be a pain to do but it would work, it also wouldnt make much power.
