RE: Too Loud!
I wasnt rtying to be a smart a_ _ but it really that simple. In my part of NJ if your out on a fri or sat night after 10pm with a fast car (even if your not doinganything wrong) you get hassled . Ok now bear with mt I use to own a s-10 blazer with a 350 comversion in it I was coming home on a sat night from racing cops folloewd me to my house for 4weeks straight . on te 4th week Iaske dthe cop if ther was a problem he said he was checking my plate to see if it was stolen becuase alot of car were being dumped on my streeet (which is BS) . So I who does the car come back to he said my name and adress I calle dhim a f'n liar the car is registerd in my moms name still . I filed a complaint and I got a writen and verbal aplology from the cop and the police department . NOw cops see me and think twice LOL

Just like Pro said............don't bring any attention to yuorself and you probably wont get any ****......get your front plate and try to do what you can to conform. Hey man, thats why we live in the good ol USA..................we have to have some laws and guidelines but I know some idiots take them too far.......Just try to stay on the 5-0s good side....

RE: Too loud!
i know here in PA the cop CANNOT give you a ticket for your exhaust without a decibel meter. I've been pulled over about 5 times now for my exhaust and each time they had to let me go because i knew the law.

RE: Too loud!
Yea, its screwed up how some cops give me **** and he was just playing it by ear that its to loud, i know id fail a decible meter, it sounds like i have open headers (love it). The radio thing was dumb, i was being a show off ( girls..what can ya do) as far as the plate goes i hate to drill holes in my bumper...but i guess i'll have to. I'm tryin my best to stay on there good side, i talk to alot of the cops around here..(my familys kinda known by them) and am always polite. I just shoved a bunch of steel wool in the mufflers (thanks hooptey) it sounds like a 4 banger and lost a noticble amount of power but it will get them off my back for the time being. Thanks for the help guys. Now they cant get me for anything, but i know they will still follow me around, second nature, young kid in fast car thats a beautiful eye catching red, i'd draw less attention driving a tank.

I would check the law and see what it says if a decible meter is required file a harassment report 10 tickets warrent that also put the plate where it can be seen (you could prolly make a mount to avoid drilling). Just remember you might have got the cop when his wife/gf hasn't been putting out for awhile so he might have been undersexed so he took it out on the first kid he saw in a fast car
