WHERE OH WHERE DID THE OIL COOLER GO
I got my 94 cobra motor back in and the only thing that I can't do is hook up the oil lines I can't rember where they go I went to ford and got a print from the parts dep. and all it shows is that 1 of them comes up and loops over the water pump and looks like it hooks up to it and the other 1 looks like it goes to the fire wall.I have been looking for it off and on for the last couple of weeks would I be better off getting a after market cooler or would that cause problems leaving the old lines open?. this is the only thing left to get it started and it's driving me nuts so if any one could help I will be very happy...HELP...slick

RE: WHERE OH WHERE DID THE OIL COOLER GO
on the pre 1994 stangs there is no oil cooler so maybe your car does not have one eaither the discripion you gave sounds like the heater lines. the oil system on most 5.0s are cooled in the block unless an after market kit is added.

RE: WHERE OH WHERE DID THE OIL COOLER GO
a buddy came over today and told me what the hole deal is the 2 lines that come from between the block and the filter go up to the water hoes that go to the heater core and it uses that water to cool the oil that just blew me away I have never heard of any thing like that and after I knew that it took a hour or so and its all hooked up.I just never would have thought of that it looks like a after market cooler would be better than using hot water to cool the oil.I wonder if it was just for 94 and 95 that does this kind of strange stuff, any way its done...slick
