smog pump removal????

RE: smog pump removal????
Alright, I have that on note, but now another question, and all these have branched from my header install this past weekend.....
My steering is highly affected by the install of the headers. I think the rag joint is rubbing the header on the drivers side.... I was told I can just take like 3 washers and put in between the engine and the motor mount on the motor mount stud, and it should give me enough clearance..... I brought this up to a few friends of mine and all thought it sounds like a bad idea in fear that the motor mount stud could eventually break..... any input on that?

RE: smog pump removal????
770k6..... can anyone verify that this is the belt size I need to delete the smog pump accurately? I'm seeing sooooo many different sizes. I know I know, measure with a string...... but I'm just trying to find out what the most popular sizes are that people have come up with. And does anyone know what to do with the lines from the check valves after you remove the hoses going to the heads and stock H pipe after removing the smog pump? You know, the lines that go to what looks like a plastic connector..... (not knowing what it's called yet).
