i have a 91 gt automatic with a b&m shifter. My friend said i should get a shift kit, but i have no idea what this will do to my car...is this something i should look into?

ya one of the best things you can do to an automatic. Get a Transgo shift kit but go ahead and do research but definitly get one.

it makes your shifting much more firm and wont "coast" into gear. Best thing I have done to my stang so far. Able to chirp 2nd now. I got the trango-hd2. something like $95.

shift kits give a firmer shift in to gear and prolong trans life too Trans Lab make a god shift kit too you can get one got 75 dollars too contact deanmason@juno.com he's the owner of translab he's set recomend the best kit for your car
