I have a 1993 ford gt mustang and it shifts way to early flooring it. How do I adjust my shift point to make it higher?

Check your vacuum lines. Sounds like your tranny is not getting the right vacuum causing it to not know when the car is WOT....

That is if our cars use that type of shifting for AOD. Other cars use elctronic control for their solenoids, and some use a lever that your gas pedal moves.

It is either the lever or vacuum.

Most shift kits do not come with this part. You can fabricate it yourself though. It's just a spacer with a .250 hole inside, about .350 on the outside and the thickness will vary. I installed one that was .080 thick and I did not think the tranny was going to shift at all, but it did around 6000 and the tires really barked good.
I did go back in and install a thinner one, about .050 more suitable to my driving style.

See attached photo.

This is the TV limit valve. It is in bore # 6. Yes you will have to remove the valve body, bummer.

Remove the valve and spring, install your spacer on the valve and then the spring, reinstall the three pieces into the bore.

You might as well do a full kit while you are in there. I have had good luck with B+M but Baumann is the one that can provide the spacer if you don't want to make one yourself.
