dumb CAI ?

is fenderwell that much better than just the regular kind? im ordering one tonight ( BBK most likely ) and im debating if its worth 20 extra dollars.

The fender style will draw more cold air than the engine bay style. Save you money and just put a K&N filter in your stock air box.

+1 on what pro said. also you can get the C&L intake that will give you the MAF and attach to your stock box.

CAI's add some flashiness to your engine bay, I think that mine was worth the money, and plus it sounds cool! Get a MAC, cheaper than BBK, but it's still garunteed to fit, unlike some of the Ebay ones. I would get a fenderwell CAI, they suck in colder air as opposed to sucking in hot air from the engine bay.

I have an Ebay intake[&o]

but i'm in cali so even the BBk/Mac is not legal here

ive got a K&N in the stock box and i thought that was kinda pointless.... i thought about converting to MAF but to be honest i dont know what i need to do. i got about 400 bucks to spend but i was just looking at a CAI for now.

If you want the bling, go for it. But the function of the stocker is about the same as the CIA fender mount. Have you taken the stock air box off and seen how it's set up?
