Default 95 Starting problem...Need help!!

I was crusing in 5th...the CEL came on then two seconds later the car went dead. Tried restart and all it would do is turn over and not start. Fresh oil is in the car, was driving and running normal and cool at the time this happened...no tell tell warning, just CEL, then sputtered a little and shut down. Getting fuel, fuel pump kicks on at key on and i checked at shrader valve on the rail..so i checked coil fire and thier wasn't a spark from the coil, so i figured it was ignition. I've read where others have had similar problems, but after a cool down it would fire up...not the case here...car has been sittin for 2 days and will not crank up.

Parts replaced without success of gettin it to start.

Coil
Rotor
Cap
Electronic Ignition Module
Mass Air
ECT Sensor

I can't even get the coil to fire...I'm getting 12 volts to the coil at Key on, but no spark when turning it over!!! HELP!

I also checked every fuse i can find on the car and all are normal....

Is thier another sensor that will shut the the car down for safety other than ECT?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Kyle

if you have 12 volts when the key is on to the coil but your not getting spark out of it, then your coil must be bad. Or just some wires are pinched off and making a bad connection

I thought the same thing, so i replaced my MSD coil with a new stock coil and no difference...get 12 volts with key on, no spark when turning over...
I haven't modified anything in about a year, so i can't see a wire all the sudden pinching itself...I did trace the wires back to the harness...all looks fine, and is well protected in loom.

Thanks for the suggestion.

If it would die after heat up, i would think the stator assembly, but it will not start at all...not even attempt to start....

What is the little round thing that mounts on the back side (toward fire wall) of the coil bracket? It has a single black wire coming out of it and a plug on the end, the female portion of the plug has a red wire the goes into the loom from there...It seems to be part of the ignition, but i dunno what it's called or if it can go bad.

After more reading i think i am going to try and replace the pick up coil (stator assembly)...Seems to be a common problem for this model GT.

Can someone give me a brief walk though on how too...tips, or tid bits to help make thing go smooth. Do i need to remove the gear to replace the pick up coil?

Thanks!
