I heard an e303 is emissions legal but also heard there is another that will pass inspection but isn't advertised to do so.....is that a b303 or am i just talking out my ***
im not sure but i think you can only use the b303 with a 5-speed cant you?
and yeah the passing emissions thing is making me think that e303 is the way to go
A B303 with 1.72's is basically an E303 with more duration. The E303 has more lift but less duration. AS far as I know neither of these cams would pass emissions (depending on the rest of your setup). But your best bet is go to the Ford racing site and download the PDF file for the catalog, Im sure the smog/emission info would be in there.

You can use any cam with any trans. There are some that are better suited (or suggested) for a particular type of trans, thats because the cams with higher duration have a much lower vacuum signal which could cause some shifting problems with trannies that are vacuum controlled.

Hmm... must be the duration. Cuz the B cam is under .500 lift where as the E cam is like .530 (or somethin like that). Hey no skin off my back, theres no emisions testing where I live. So you could even runa .700 lift cam and blow black smoke out the pipes and not get pulled over .
