Good Deal on 94 cobra. PLZ HELP!
Hey Guys. Im pretty new to the site, so any advice would be a blessing. First of all I saw a 1994 Cobra with 45571 miles with slight paint damage to the rear bumber and what looked to be rust on the tail pipes. The dealer is asking for $10,383. Is it a good deal and if I can how low do you think I can get him and also what do you think the insurance would be for a 21 y/o with a squeeky clean record, or should I just go with the parents insurance and pay them? any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

Well hello there !! First check NADA book on the car and go to car fax .com to get a idea if it ever has been wrecked. I think 10k is a bit much for that year i would say 7500. its 10 years old and im sure abused some.No one buys a Cobra and not drive it hard .I think i would pass on that 1 and look for a newer year or even a New GT .

The '94 Cobra was not very impressive stock so like Stinger said I would pass that up, $10,000 is too much. A newer year GT would be nice for that amount of money. I see a lot of '99 GT's for that price range with a few mods.

There shouldn't be rusted tailpipes on that 94 Cobra. If It has similiar exhaust as mine did stock, it is stainless steel. Most likely that Cobra had an exhaust makeover at some point if the tips look that way (just taking a guess).
I agree with the other guys, 10K is way too much for a 94 Cobra. Get a GT and pay less for insurance too... they won't know if you supercharge it! Stock 94 GT was 215 hp, stock Cobra was 240 hp.

Yeah $10k is too high, but it's so high because it's at a dealership. Dealer markup is always quite a bit higher than kbb value. If you want a Cobra, you should be able to find a '96+ Cobra in that price range, and you'll get the infamous 32-valve DOHC V8. I see '96-'98 Cobras sell for about $10k all the time.
