Default Torque Link

I never hear of people using torque links. They seem like they could make a difference and they are only like $55 bucks! Does anyone use this? Do you recommend it?

Also, I know that they hook up to the heads and where the sway bar bolts to. So does that mean that I cant run a sway bar if I run the torque link? Thanks.

Cuz it s my birthday, YAY~!
Its basically a fancy chain. People used to tie their engines down with chains, basically to simulate a solid motor mount. Thats what that is, its just fancy. And all youd have to do when you go to the track is pop a pin in and wualla you have solid motor mounts. Which help x-fer more torque/hp to the ground.

WELL HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! How old are ya today?

Also, so you think its worth the $55 bucks? Also, so would I be able to use my sway bar when using this? Because I would like to keep the brackets up and just remove the brace for the street and than when racing pop it back in. But If I cannot use my sway bar than Im not going to get it....

i've seen these before at the track but haven't looked below to see how they mount, i also dont have any personal experience but i would think you could use a longer bolt to connect the sway bar or else have a double mount fab'd up somehow. good luck blue

i have a torque link on my car. i keep it hooked up all the time even when im on the street. it didnt cause any more vibrations like most people think. i guess its a good compramise between rubber mounts and solid mounts. i got it because i was tired of my motor slamming my hood every time i took off. i have two small dents in my hood where the tb hit the underside of the hood and i have a couple of deep scratches on my intake manifold from the motor torquing over and slamming it. you can run a sway bar with the torque link. i did for a while then i just got rid of the sway bar all together. plus with my hp, a high stall, 3.73's and a slicks, the stock mounts wouldnt have lasted
