Default TCI RATTLER harmonic dampner

Ok, so as my other post have said.. my 5.0 has a horrible vibration to it. I think I've isolated it to a bad harmonic balancer. I'm thinking about changing it to TCI's RATTLER dampner. They claim that it absorbs rather than dampens??? Is there any one who has had one put on OR has had a balancer go bad??? What was the engine's response to a bad balancer??

Default RE: TCI RATTLER harmonic dampner

just had mine redone today

the rubber gromet around the balancer shredded and it was pushed 2" back against the timing chain

my car was shaking so bad the steering wheel was coming loose

i wouldnt drive or start your car anymore if its the balancer...

i had mine towed because i saw that it was rubbing and yours is probably doing the same

goodluck
