don't fear the juice....
always be mild not wild with the juice.....a fuel pressure shut of valve is a must....bottle warmer not unless your racing for $$$$$$
msd with timing retard is your best protection......or use a pms or tweecer for timing and fuel pressures and injector pulses.....when I set them up for drag cars.....I will not do one without a progression kit..costly but works great

as far as puddling you can expoxy the floor of the intake to lesson this problem.

Or cut her open and hit it with some sandpaper rolls to get rid of the jaggies left over from the casting...That's the reason I recommended the dry kit as it's probably the easier way to go... especially at the power levels he's looking for. Plus it comes with most of the safe stuff like the FP switch. Make sure your fuel pump is good, too.
