i don't know dude. $2000 is up there for an 88 gt with a blown engine. some of them are sold below that in perfect condition. depends on how much he put into the car. having sat for 2 years isn't good at all either. if it reads 59 something k it's probably 159k at least since they didn't have the extra digit yet. if you really want it though, and can get some kind of engine into it go for it though.

yeah thats what i was thinking too, but didn't wanna sound discouraging. as i posted the other night the blue book private party value for my 93 lx is shy of $3500 i think. i've also only got a little bit less than 80k miles on it. i know the blue book isn't accurate, and they depreciate your car with age rather than miles, and condition, but still i think with $2000 you could definitely find an 88 with a sufficient running engine.
