if your running 3.55's it's basically the same thing, don't switch if u are.

If you're stock and at WOT, then with 3.73s your top speed will be ~118 MPH in 3rd gear (or whatever gear you tranny has that will be a 1:1 gear, since you cant count OD.) If you're not at WOT and just slowly accelerating, then the top speed is theoretical only because you will never have enough HP to reach it, so it doesn't really matter in that instance.
