Default Repairing bolt hole in block

I found a chunk of metal in the oil pan, and it turns out it's from one of the oil pan bolts. Now if you've felt the inside of the block where the oil pan goes, you know it's a little extension of metal where teh threads are, and that is whats broken. Anyone encountered this and what would you do? I'd say I could just tap into the actual edge where the pan rests against, but I don't know fi there is enough metal there.. And I could build it up (it's about .5" long I would think?) with JBweld and tap it, but I woudl think that would break loose eventually and cause some havoc.. Thanks!

Be best to send it to a machine shop and have it welded, if you want it done right...
