Fuel Sender Problems

RE: Fuel Sender Problems

Need to do a resistors check.....install a 14 - 18 ohms resistor to the sender signal wire and the other resistor lead to ground, and it should read empty.....do the same test with a 155 - 165 ohms resistor, and it should read full.....any resistor value in between, and it should read from 00 - 99...if OK, the sender is bad....otherwise.......does that panel uses an OEM anti-slosh module?......
FYI....you may want to use the following diagram:

ok i did this and i ran a new ground wire to sender. So whenever i put on the 150ohm resistor, it shot up to full. Then whenever I put the 15 ohm on there it dropped to empty. So that says that the gauge is working fine right??
I guess the only thing left to replace is the fuel sender, because i have new wires going to the sender ( + and ground) and I know the gauge works. Is there anything i am skipping?? These gauges dont use the anti slosh module.
