Skip the Smog?

Skip the Smog?
Ok, I hear all this talk about smog pump eliminator kits. Question is why don't you just use a shorter belt and skip that pulley? Is that do-able?

That's what i did, it's very doable. Belt size might take a few guesses though

get a string and wrap it around all the pullies youre gonna keep and then measure it

all that smog equip. is hooked up into the comp. in diff. ways you might need that kit plus a comp. sweep(clearing the codes)
