cool deal, i saw your car about 4 mths ago on here and thought i looked good and thought about doing the same to my vert but ran 3" instead so no way can get it all to bend quite right under there oh well, just dump em,,, resonates like a fat lady in church, good luck with the gauges and post some pics when you get em in,

This is what I did:



Just some aluminum sheet, hacksaw, hand drill and a file. Took a while but it's swwet. I also added some autometer angle rings to tilt the gauges towards the driver so you can rad them more easily.

I tried a plastic version out of a black rubbermaid container but the was more difficult to cut nicely than the aluminum. I could'tnt get a straight cut in the plastic...

looks good man, i was thinking of using the tilt spacers from autometer too, just makes it all a lil easier to see from drivers seat

Without the angle rings the readings are slightly off due to the angle you look at them from. I tried both and the farthest gauge was real tough to read without it.

yeah just put your oil pressure or something over there that you dont really look at that much, or fuel level or something like that

Will do. I'm getting ready to order the mounting plate right now. I hope to have everything in w/in a few days. Thanks again for everyone's help.

By the way, Lead09, nice work. I was thinking about fabricating my own plate, but wanted some finished plastic...like the original one. I guess I'll just order one. Thanks for posting though.
