Default beehive/conical valve springs

Whats your opinion on the beehive/conical style valve springs? In theory they are great because they make the retainer so much smaller and lighter. If Im not mistaken, the cone shape also helps reduce harmonics so you can rev higher with a lighter spring. (I think I got that from an issue of Hot Rod mag IIRC where they did a test of different springs or something)

Edit: oh ya, and for my particular application, I wont be going over 6500 rpm and maybe have as much as .550-.560 lift with a 1.94/1.50 valve

Default RE: beehive/conical valve springs

They are a very good design. I rev my LS1 to 7000 rpm with a set of Comp 918's. Bee hive springs work very well.
