buyin a bbk cai tomorrow... my 87 5.0 is not MAF, its SD... having to buy SD adapter... what exactly is that for and what does it hook up to??? also i have 2 options for the CAI, fenderwell.. then the standard app, which one is gunna suit me better, currently the box is set right on the top left side of the engine bay,

I think you'll get more air with the fenderwell setup.

the bbk is a waste of money i use to have one honestly ever since i got the c&l i would never consider buying the BBK again

cai add no more then a couple hp. id save my money. use the money and put it towards a maf conversion or some gears.

If you're going to get a CAI get the fenderwell one, sucks in cold air from the fender well rather than hot motor air. They make CAI's that are for SD cars, you shouldn't need an adapter.
