Default RE: Battery relocation...

I'll be honest... I put my battery in the trunk over the pass side tire, and pulled my front sway barwhile I was at it. I hopped in the car and said to myself... holy ****!!!! My car has the best traction ever. I'm not kidding you at all. I was shocked. I figure I took approx 55-60 lbs off the nose of my car, and put about 30 over the pass rear tire where it needs it the most. At the track prior to doing this, My best 60 foot was a 2.04 on street tires with the pass front seat removed. The first trip out after this mod I pulled a 1.90 on the same tires with the pass seat still in. I found myself actually able to give the car full throttle in first gear without wheel spin if I let it bog just a tiny bit right off the line then slip into the throttle. No matter what I did before this mod, I couldn't give it all in first gear, and had to take second easy as well. Please do yourself the favor and take this advice. My car is daily driven and I don't feel at all unsafe with the sway bar gone. You'll immediately get used to it after you've driven it a few days, and if you don't need to take fast corners, just do it. Plus the cleaner engine bay to boot!!

Ummm, OK. Now what I don't underatand. Ppl always mount their batteries on the right rear. Well, when you see a car w/ some power come of the line, what is the first front wheel to come of the ground from the torque, the left one. That's why my battery is on the drivers side. Maybe I'm missing something.

If you run a voltmeter and an MSD 6al thats about what the wiring will lokk like. I aslso use an Areomotive pump under the car and I use a relay for the pump so I even have MORE wires.......

most of your traction comes from you right side that why the left corner lifts on most car unless you have a spolled rear that bot whels have equal traction and both front wheels lift off

Maybe? But it just seems from a lofic standpoint, that keeping the extra weight on the left side will help keep the car from twisting. Not sure if that makes sense though.
