Default LOWERING SPRINGS.WHAT DETERMINES DROP?

I am planning on eibach sportline springs and the specs say they lower from like an inch and a half to two inches. what exactly does this depend on? can't they just say it lowers it this much....

the heavier your car is the more your suspension is going to flex. Im a little confused about what you're asking..

it depends on the engine the car has and weather its a convert or hard top.
