Default Help with Camshaft install

Im needing some help with my camshaft install. How do I know where to position the new camshaft once it's in? I know I have to line the upper timing gear dot with the lower gear dot (6 and 12 o'clock). I believe there's 3 bolts the hold the cam to the upper gear, but exactly how do I know where it should be turned before bolting it up? Is there a raised notch in the end to properly seat itself in the gear?

Default RE: Help with Camshaft install

the cam itself has a pin on the end (look at it and youll see it. and that is what you use to locate its position vs the cam gear
