Default Help! pulley install

im installing a set of mac underdrive pulleys and i cant get the old pulleys to come off its an 86 5.0. any ideas or advise? thanks

I think you need a special pulley for that...........

shouldnt be that hard. the pullies you need to remove (aside from the alternatoer pulley) are only head on by 4 screws each... i believe the crank pully bolts are 14mm, however i forget what the water pump ones are... 10mm maybe

i already got the crank pulley and the fan pulley off the alternator is bein a bitch i cant stop it from spinning and i dont want to damage the fan

well my advise to you would be to leave the alternator pulley on there, its really not making you lost any mower, and when you spin the alt slower, it will not charger your battery as well. most of us have problems with out UDP's and the alternator not producing any power at idle. Thats why im taking mine off soon.

your going to have to take the alt. off and have a garage bump that bolt off w/ the air wrench

It's simple to do. Just jam the pointy end of your prybar inbetween the fan blades and turn the nut off..

Try taking it to a autoparts store mine did it for me. All they did was took a drill with a socket and it came right off.

Yeah, if you are running a 5.0 stock alternator. I would not put the underdrive on it.
