No modification needed. Some of them attach with screws. Other attach with plastic oush rivets. I have the 3 pillar pod in mine.

I got a 3 gauge pod, had to modify slightly to fit the vert.

I think those are street glow phantoms, got a deal on ebay for the pod with guages, dont like the temp gauge, so I am going to replace with autometer. The A/F works great though!
