Default E-303 vs Trick Flow Stage 1 cam..opinions

I wanted to see what your opinions of the Trick Flow cam as to the E-303. I currently have the E-303 in my car. Will the Trick Flow make more power, and also even though its not touted as an Emissions Legal cam, do you think it will blow clean enough to pass a sniffer test? I'm leaning towards a new cam when I swap in AFR165's this winter but I need to be able to pass emissions testing every other year, but I also want as much horepower as I can squeeze out

With those 2 i'd go with the trickflow just because its newer. I hear alot about the alphabet cams being outdated, and some say they are still perfectly fine. Which TONS of guys are making huge power on alphabet cams. I read some really good reviews about the stage 1 cam, thats why i went with it. I just dont know how it performs yet. Car is almost done, just not quite.
But if your going the AFR route, why dont you look into custom grind cams ? The only aspect there is that i'm not sure if custom grind cams are emmision legal or not.
You might even want to call crane or comp cams, they both ahve a huge selection of cams, and i'm sure one of their techs can tell you which on will make the best power for you. Or even call trickflow to see what they say.
Good luck. whatever you decide to go with, let us know how it turns out.

You should be about even on the power of either cam. They are about the same numbers wise. I would just put a set of 1.7 RR on your E cam and save the money instead of buying the trickflow. Just my opinion tho bro...

There really isn't that much of a difference...You can make huge power with alphabet cams too, whether they're old or not.

Your not going to see a very noticable difference swapping to a trick flow cam. Maybe 5 hp and a couple ft lbs of torque. Like stated above I would just get some 1.7 roller rocker and it would definitly increase your power more that way then swapping the cam.

Duration is almost the same, and so is the lift. Very little difference. Since you already have the E cam, just keep it in there, the time and money wouldnt be worht it.
