RE: vac pump
Do you have a vent so air can enter the crank case? How much pressure are you talking? If it is chugging lots of compression out the oil fill maybe you should do a leak down test. Who built the motor? Were the rings staggered properly? Were the ring end gaps checked?

Have you done a compression test and a leakdown test?
This is the only way to know if all is well with the motor.
How many miles are on it is irrelevant.
As for what cars to find vac pumps on...
I have heard that some Lightning trucks had a vac pump. I'm not sure of the details though.
There have been several GM vehicles that used a vac pump to assist the brake booster. A google search should find some applications. I have yet to find one in a j/y though.
The best option if you are serious about a vac pump however is a smog pump from a Ford van/truck.

I have tried this and the vac level provided by the pump is far too great. You will need to find a vac restrictor to run in the system.
HOWEVER...
If the motor is in good condition, you don't need a vac pump.
Can yo describe the entire pcv/evac system you are currently running?
Most likely there is something wrong with the current setup.
