I have heard that stud mount is better because of how they adjust for valve lash.... with pedestal rockers you have to shim them... which means pulling them off again... and again... and again......... you get the idea

the e6 are the heads that went on the 86 5.0 they are twisted wedge tech. taht sent the hp #'s down and the torque up. The 86 is the only one with them and the pistons were flat top so they dont clear any performance heads, and notching is when the piston is cut into to make room for hte valve clearance

e6 = high swirl heads, decreased emissions output, the head is NOT based on Twisted head design. From 1968 through 1985, the 302 small blocks had used a wedge-type cylinder head. When that head was dropped in '86 in favor of a new casting which Ford called a high-swirl, shrouded valve head, (although the new head greatly improved emissions ratings) performance fell because the head design restricted volumetric flow.
