Default drag radials?

i want a good radial that can get me reliably to the track(30 min drive) and will fit on the stock mustang turbine wheels. And who has the best treadwear rating but will give the most amount of grip at the track. or should i just wait to get to the track to throw them on? i heard nitto555's are really good but iheard they are really soft, and how long should your burnout be to get them sticky enough to grap the pavement?

if it was me and you go often the buy a set of 8,9 or 10" rims and get a set og et streets these are the best......as your nitto's you can go 275/50/15 on the 7" rim

I've got 4 turbine wheels in good condition if you would like to purchase a couple to mount some race tires on them so you don't burn up your street tires. That's what I did to race mine with slicks, get a small jack from Sears and change the wheels/tires when you get to the track and you're in business.

what does the og mean? are the nittos the tire of choice? i know the radials will slip more than slicks but can you still launch at ahigher rpm than starting from adead roll and punching it? with a stock rearend and radials you dont really worry about breaking anything ith using a 7" wide tire right?

think he meant to type "of", not og. LOL
anything can happen when you dump the clutch at too high an rpm with sticky tires on the stock wheels and rear end but the 8.8 rear with stock axles is fairly tough as long as you don't abuse it with 6,000 rpm launches on a sticky starting line.

oh definitely not, i have the 4 turbine wheels too i bought 17x9 cobra r's not too long ago and the last time i was at the track i shredded the expensive z's all over the inside of the fender so not looking to do that again. but i was thinking of a 2 or 3k launch with good tires that will stick, cause i have stock gears and the last time i launched at 2krpm i ended up spinning through second with a nice time of 16.3! but 95 mph though! so a recommended radial would be good, just want to know what the majority runs
