Default headlight problem

ok. for some reason, sometimes when i turn my headlights on, only the parking and marker lights come on, and i have to jiggle the wiper/highbeam switch to make them come on. and tonight, i had my highbeams on, and when i flipped them off, the headlights went out, again the marker/parking lights stayed on.

has anyone had this happen before or know of a way i can fix it???

thanks,
jeff

sounds like the turn signal/high beam switch. when the high beams are turned on, the lows are overridden by the highs.
