Now that my engine runs good i need to focus on keeping it in a staright line....the steering is all over the place i know i need to convert the front spindles to ones for a v8 (car was a 4banger), and i do need an alignment but there is alot of play in the wheel...any suggestions? thanks.

 

It may just need an alignment. Check the rubber in the shaft joints for looseness.
