Default RE: Seat Belt question

If I could just get new retractors and that would solve it I would be VERY happy. The problem is I don't know if replacement ones would take all the slack in because I have taken off the bracket that normally takes up the slack. I am not trying to sound dense here, seeing as how two people have suggested this solution. But does anyone know if I can make it so the new retractor will have room in it to take the extra foot or so of belt that needs to be retracted???

i would think that GT hatchback or LX retractors would be wound up a little tighter, picking up more slack, because they are pillar mounted, almost 1 1/2 feet higher than convertable retractors

Thanks for the compliment Motorman...

And good idea matt. I appreciate the help, and I might have to look into that.

Those damn C lips or whatever on the seats SUCK yes it does keep the belt from hanging out but it also makes it so when you pull on the belt to get the retractor to pull the slack in it doesnt work due to the extra stress it puts on the belt from that angle. I have the clips on my seats still but my belts dont even go through em cause then the belts are always loose when you are wearing them.[:@] Those little things really **** me off sometimes.[:'(]

Yeah, I am always adjusting the belt to get the slack out of it even without the clips. Also if you are taller it makes the belt positioning very uncomfortable. Not the biggest upside to owning a fox vert, but don't expect me to sell mine anytime soon!!!!
