v6 to 5.0
hey guys....i have a 95 5.0 and im currently rebuilding the engine....the car has been hit in the front and it looks like it might be a pain in the bass to fix....i found a v6 car down the road without the engine....it is in a lot better shape than the car i have now....i was wondering if i got that car, what all would i have to replace to make it able to run with this engine....
when the engine is done it will be like this.....
302
cobra intake
gt-40 heads
trick flow stage 1 cam
forged pistons
24lb injectors
75mm tb
70mm maf
mac shorty headers
1.7 rockers
smog pump eliminator
ud pulleys
n20
and its a 5speed if that matters.

RE: v6 to 5.0
Computer and all the harnesses, thats a given so youll need to gut the dash. The K-member should work but will probaly need different motor mounts. Im not sure about the trans-member or the driveshaft. Youll need a new rear as the v6 uses the 7.5. Add the V8 brakes and suspension of course and you should be on your way.

I'm in the process of doing that right now. i got a wrecked parts car that had the entire drive train and i'm basically just putting my body on the gt guts. I don't think you have to gut the dash though, the computer is under the dash on the passenger side but i think all the wiring inside the dash can stay the same. you will need a new gauge cluster though.

RE: v6 to 5.0
yeah the parts from the 95 are fine...its just the outer part of the engine bay that is bent all to hells.....i just didnt know what all i needed to changed..and ill probably do a complete interior swap also because the interior in the 95 looks as good as the interior in my 03....
