I cleared the stock hood with my 408w

Comp Cams upper on a Lightning lower, but I had to trim about .700" off the bottom of the upper manifold.

I am using aftermarket engine mounts, I think they were Prothane?

Some intakes will be tougher to clear than others.

my dads old 89 lx had a 473 (bored from 460 if im correct) in the stock hood, my windsor will fit because im using the factory air cleaner which actually loops over the carb and only sits so high. Im using the performer intake manifold (edel) which only sits so high itself.

It's a badass car, from what I remember he runs 9's with the 17in wheels and everything.

This is the one we were trying to find for Samseed101... because he was asking if there were any better places to run his filter too instead of sitting it on top of the exhaust manifold like it does

That notch is pretty much my wet dream. That is what my motor will eventually be. I really wish i woulda got a notch though
