Default oil change drip

I changed the oil from Motorcraft 10w40 to Pure synthetic Mobil 1 10w30.
I had a hard time finding the right filter. The one that the parts store gave me one that was to long and wouldn't fit because of the sway bar.
I had them cross the old number from the old filter, it fit for all I know but know my oil pressure is 50 psi and befor the oil pressure was 20 psi.
And it is now leaking from the rear of the motor and from the drain plug and from the filter. This sucks.
Why would it start leaking from the rear main seal after the oil seal?

thinner oil. also make sure the old O-ring for the old filter came off the block. sometimes they stick, and doubling up on the o-rings is no good drain plug probly needs a new gasket

Its probally from the viscoity of the synthetic oil it leaking out of you rear mail seal . Now for your oil filter make sure its tight or not doulble gasketed .

Me personally I wouldnt switch to syntetic after running regular oil . In the summer i run 20w50 and in the winter i run 10w40 no leaks or oil consumption at all

yah if you can't deal with the leaks it wouldn't be a bad idea. are you going to be driving it through winter? if so go 10w-40. if not, just leave it.
