Default Next Mod: Gears

Current Mods:

CAI
Underdrive Pulleys(not installed)
Stage 1 Clutch

So im going with gears next! I seriously have no clue with what kind of gears i want, I kind of want a nice 1st and 2nd and 3rd gear pull. I always said 4:10s because it's a SN95 and its a tiny bit heavier than any other mustang. but i'm kind of thinking 3:93s?

I don't have really big plans for the engine anymore. Next will be a full exhaust, intake and throttle body and probably upgrade little stuff, and also a ECU probably. After that, suspension work straight out.

No big plans? Earlier in the week you talked about getting a 351W as well as a Paxton supercharger.

Just get 4.10s, the difference isn't that much. Are you AOD or 5-speed?

^ being as he said he installed a clutch, I would say its a 5 speed... jeez people, read!!

anyway, I would go 3.73s or at most 3.90s on it, I would stay away from 4.10s with the manual

Theres hardly a difference between 3.90's and 4.10's so go with what you want. Theres like a 100-150rpm difference between the two.

Ahh, I C. Personally, I'd go with 3.73s. You can get away with 4.10s, but first gear is going to be real short. And if you add any more HP down the road, it's going to make it even shorter. And knowing your personality I think you'll be looking to add more power sooner than later. Not that it's a bad thing. My mustang was bone stock in July. Now I have nitrous, supercharger, gears, suspension, water / meth injection, rollbar, and some other minor mods.

Just go with 3.73s. It's enough of a difference for you to feel and it will let you add things in the future when you want them.

BUT I would recommend FRPP gears and I dont think that FRPP make a 3.90 gear.
