Default changing a heater core on an 88 non ac

Hey guys, is there any links on how to do this? Ive heard a few different things about this. Ive heard you have to remove the whole dash with an AC equipped car. However, my car has never had AC so is it the same? Where would I find out how to do this? The Chilton manual is just not cutting it. Thanks

pretty sure you going to have to remove the dash anyways because of its design, older mustangs without ac had a little door behind the glove box to change out the heater core

79-86 the core came thru the glovebox while 87-up the dash has to come out.

79-86 NON A/C that is. With A/C the dash comes out. Again, according to Haynes.
