I use the handle 3stangs because when I started to this site I had 3 Mustangs but now I don't. First to go was my 1970 mach1 with shaker scoop and I thought that would be it but now it looks as if their will be another. A week ago I had a fender bender in my 87 fox GT .And whith all the other deffects that a pony groes to have over years I decided it was time to start recustomising her. She has rust on roof on hatch a dented fender cracked floorpans busted yellow headlights no fog lights and paint gone frome front bumper. I've had her for 11 years and over that time several people have been itching to get their hands on her , and now one might. She can't be worth $1,500.00 in her condition but her origional motor is still strong. She has no AC no cats or smogpump. Well today my best friend came over to bring a guy to buy some heads from me . The guy was driving a 94 ford stepside or (mustang truck) and i jokingly said i would trade the fox for it and before the guy could speak my friend was like- hey I'll trade my 95 isuzu 4x4 trooper for it and leave the sterio equipment. No he wasn't talking to the guy he was talking to me and I was in shock. Well I had been looking to get my wife something more comfortable with AC well nows my chance but i don't want to. Shes family and I don't want to let her go but is it crazy to turn down the offer. I mean I could find another pony and start a new project and I do have a 94 GT----- but what should I do---? The car has never let me down before and I fill like I would be letting it down- but its just a car. What should I do?

welll.... My car really is like family. Purchased new by my mother in 89, then bought off her for blue book when i was 15 (7 years ago), and won't be sold (I have other family members that would kill me if I didn't gie them first shot at buying it if I did sell it). That being said, if someone came along and offered me someting outragous for her (Read that as more then 25K), I don't know that i could say no. Tough situation you get there.

well the guy is like family too. And he said if he gets ready to resell her he would sell her back to me first. Needless to say me and my wife agree we would get the money some how.

I would suggest to talke care of your wife, she will ove you forever. You will still have one mustang like the other 90% of us. Just put all of your work into it and make it super fast and georgeous. Surprise your wife and show her that you are not selfish and then go for the I am the best husband in the world sex.

lol.......... Well she was upset when she found out I was going to trade. But then she started thinking of having a nice ride to cruise in to do her every day needs. what you said makes since -I don't know where my head is lately. Thanks

It's easy to get caught up in stuff especially when you sit around all day and daydream about it. I recently had to make a choice that seemed obvious to others but my judgement was so clouded because it was all I thought about forever. Have a good one
