Default MSD Blaster TFI Coil

Very dissapointed in my new Blaster TFI Coil. As lost of you know I am hidding all my wires on my car, new coil, battery reloation, smog delete, etc. I get everything together and go to start it up. Everything is fine except for this very loud annoying as hell ticking noise. Outside of the car its loud but not that loud. When Im in my car I can hear it exceptionally well, whats wrong with this? I have heard of MSD coils ticking like this but I thought that was a sign that they are going bad? Any ideas... if this is how they are I will send it back to summit and immediatly go with another company... as of right now I am disappointed

+1 Either that or I am thinking about getting a Crane PS91... what do you think? Your opinion is appreciated

Also, Im guessing that everyone has these problems with their MSD coils?

Not at the time no, just stock ignition (or stock replacements I can say). I WAS planning on running a 6a eventually but not sure....

Suggestions?

I run the crane it's a nice piece, but the Mallory 6at is cheaper than msd and is digital and a nice piece

Well, price is not what concerns me. Of coarse I wont pay $200 dollars for a coil or something ridiculous but if the crane is a bettery coil than the mallory I will go with that. I plan on having a full ignition and would like to stick with the same company.... Crane or Mallory... whats your choice? lol

Also, do you know if the ticking of the TFI is normal? Did I get a faulty coil?

My Blaster coil makes a buzzing noise, but it doesn't tick.

Mine does the same thing. I actually sent my back to Summit because I thought it was going bad. I was told if you place a peice 'Rubber' around the Coil (Where in comes incontact with the mounting bracket; so it's not metal on metal) that will reduce the noise.
