ny car wont start...its not the battery thats got 12.7 volts. the car doesnt even sound like it wants to turn over..it clicks once then nothing

 

your starter solenoid is dead, or the starter itself is locked up. have a friend hold the key to the start position, and get under and feel the starter. if it gets hot, its locked up. if not, the solenoid is dead.

 

Have you tried crossing the starter solenoid? Also try tapping the starter with a hammer. Sometimes if the starter is bad it will turn over after being tapped

 

or he could jump the solenoid
