SLP loud mouth
well my mom came to me the other day and asked what i wanted for christmas.. i thought about the stang im about to get and knew that the first thing i wanted to do to it was exhaust. well i have been looking around for a while now and think i have narrowed it down to BBK equal length headers (ceramic coated), either a prochambered H-pipe or just a BBK x-pipe, and then an SLP cat-back. but still not sure yet on which sysetem i want.. the LM 1's or 2's. i dont want it stupid loud, but i want people to hear me coming. and especially want it to sound good obveously. but ya let me know what system you think i should get and what mid pipe with the rest of the combination.

RE: SLP loud mouth
If you go with no cats and LM 1's it will be stupid loud. Trust me, I know. Mine, with a catted X, is just south of stupid loud. Given what you're looking at, I'd recommend the LM 2's.

RE: SLP loud mouth
ya i was thinking those were the ones too..
now im getting an 87' GT buut i want to put a cobra rear bumper on it. soo if i do this before i get a cat-back, should i get the cat-back for the cobra? or is there another reason why they specifically have a different modle of there system for the cobra?

RE: SLP loud mouth
+1 with whats posted above. I have a SLP catback and its just as loud as my old setup with MAC LT's, MAC ProChamber and American Thunder Flows.
If you go with a catted mid pipe, go with LM 1's. O/R mid pipe, go with LM2's. Trust us! LOL
Also, I dont think that a MAC ProChamber will bolt up to BBK headers, thats just what I have always heard. And BTW, I am VERY pleased with my SLP LM1 setup with my stock exhaust, sounds great and the quality is unbeatable. Right now its dumped right at the axle and it sounds AWSOME (I just did this yesterday). Its really deep with a really nice rumble. I would highly suggest it, cheapest place to get it form is prob Brenspeed on ebay. Also, I told him that I was going to be using a Cobra rear bumper on my 93GT and he told me to get the LX kit. So thats what I got, but until you get the Cobra bumper you cannot run the tips which are the nicest part of the kit, they are very nice quality and look GREAT. Highly recommended people over there at brenspeed and there are tons here on the forums who will agree. Good luck with the purchase.... or for your mom... whatever lol

RE: SLP loud mouth
lol thanks man! i can tell you are really excited about your new instail! and i think you just sold me completely on the LM 2's since i plan on getting a MAC prochambered h-pipe.
..ya i have been looking around to see if the MAC prochamber would bolt up to BBK headers.. and it says that they should fit "shorty headers" so.. unless BBK doesnt something differently or something they should fit right?? because areny the collectors of the headers in the same spot whether they are equal length or unequal?? if so dont you think the mid pipe that should fit "shorty headers" should really fit any shorty style ones??
EDIT: you wouldnt happen to have a sound clip or video with the new exhaust would you?? that would be awesome!
