if your not do the c4 , c6 is too heavy , c4's are super strong and much cheaper than an aod build. also geared better.

that is true but the c6 has the big block belhousing bolt pattern while the c4 has the small block so the c6 will not bolt up to the 5.0 without an adapter kit. also, the c4 is a stronger trans then the aod and also cheaper to upgrade if i remember correctly. plus it weighs less then an aod if i remember correctly too. they only thing about the aod that is "better" is the fact that it has od and will be better on the street for fuel millage.
