the car ran and idled like **** before so i cleaned the iac and the throttle body, its a 93 motor with a map sensor instead of mas (motor was swapped in, was a 4cyl). the car still wont idle and runs like crap at low rpms and surges or misses while driving and decelerating...but sometimes it runs smooth. could timing be the problem? only reason i didnt check it is because i dont know how to but does this sound like symptoms of off timing...i wouldn't think so because sometimes it runs smooth

 

When was its last une up, plugs, wires cap and rotor, possibly o2 sensors

 

just did that last sunday...so their all good except for the o2 sensors

 

do u have the 4 banger computer with a 5.o motor?? that sounds like an problem [&:]

 

How about the ignition module, they go bad and cause the car to run like **** or just not run at all.
