Default 306 vs 347

i was just curious if i put a 347 in on how much hp increase i will get? i was thinking about getting it since i have my motor out and striped down but i also want to get a super charger in the future. will the stock block handle that much hp? if not which one should i go with the 347 or the super?

depends on rods, pistons, comp ratio, what you are running for heads, intake all that good stuff. how much are you looking to gain out of it?

i have sir rods, stick heads with 1.7RR, edelbrock torker intake w/holly 650 carb. most of my mods are in my sig i want to try and get the most power i can with out breaking the block i just want shure if the 347 and super is pushing it or not. i dont have the money to do both right now thats why i was wondering how much hp increase i would get out of the 347. which one would you guys recomend me getting the 347 or the super? its not my DD im just gonna drive it once in a while and bring it up to the track.

Probably more hp with the 302 but you would be pushing it with more then about 7 psi and still wont last that long.

306 i mean.

With the right parts you can build an n/a 347 with over 400rwhp. Or you can do h/c/i and a supercharger on the 306 and get over 400rwhp.

well from ur sig it says that ur spraying a 100 shot. i would just keep the combination that u have now up the cr and put some better heads on it and up the shot

yeah i was thinking about heads also what would you recommend the twisted wedge? you gotta love the wine of a super charger though

my 306 hyd roller motor, TFS heads, carbed with BG650 makes way over 425 HP.
It also cost a lot less than rebuilding a 5.0 and S/Cing it........
