110K miles is nothing. As long as he doesn't go overboard with anything he will be fine.

MY TWO CARS
1992 LX (Race Car)
Old motor = STOCK 150,000 MILE BOTTOM END, Explorer GT40P Heads & Intake, 65mm TB, F cam, 1.7 RR's, All The Bolt on's, 24lb Injectors, 255lph Pump+Zex150Dry Shot. Sprayed it for half a year with no problems before I tore it down for a race set-up.
New Motor = SAME 150,000 MILEBOTTOM END Freshend up with ARP Bolts, 11.5.1 Pistons,AFR 185 Heads, Trickflow R Intake, 75mm TB, Big Lunati Cam, All The Bolt On's, 24lb Injectors, 255lph Pump + NX 250 Wet Shot. Been Spraying it for about 5 months now every weekend at the track. NO PROBLEMS YET
88 GT (Daily Driver)
This car has 255,000 Miles on I used all the explorer parts that were on my old set-up and the Zex nitrous kit. I street race people all the time in this car with a 100-150 shot and never have and problems afterward.
If you are so conserned about using nitrous then you shouldn't get it. Before I got into nitrous I was a little scared too simply because I listened to all the horror stories on these forums and seen movies like Fast And The Furious. I listen to people where I accually get to see them using it.
I'm telling you right now if your car is in good mechanical condition and has a properly running fuel system, youshould buy any kind of nitrous kit, get a 255lph fuel pump and spray a 150 shot all day long.

RE: Nitrous question
This is for you ford91mustang:
I wouldn't use a wet kit with your stock "long runner" intake just because the fuel can puddle in there which is bad. If you get an upper/to/lower plate kit you eliminate this problem but it will cost around $800.00
I wouldgo with a dry kit. I used both Zex and NOS Dry kits and they both worked very well.
If you go with a wet kit and spray it really low like 2000-2500 RPMs the fuel will puddle rapidly and cause a backfire. I never ever spray my car below 4000 RPMs so there is almost no chance of it puddling. If you go with a dry kit you won't have to worry about this problem. Wet kits make a little more power than a dry kit, there more consistent and they give you to abilty to upgrade to bigger shots in the future. Dry kits are good for 75-150 shot as compared to 100-300 for wet kits.

RE: Nitrous question
Pretty much all kits come with a WOT switch in the package, a window switch is definatly recommended, never spray below 3000 RPM, because of puddling(with a wet kit)like wlingle92lx said and most ignition systems wont support enough spark below 3k to spark all the nitrous. 110,000 miles is nothing, you will be fine spraying that. I would get a better fuel pump, an adjustable FPR, back off the timing a little bit and, if spraying a good amount, get colder spark plugs. If your just looking to spray a 75 shot, go dry and get a window switch and youll be set.
