$2500 budget

my oil pump crapped out today....and i had to drive like another 20 miles to get somewhereoff the highway.....it was terrible, i listened to my motor tear itself apart. i dont know how much damage i did to the internals, but it definetly needs a rebuild. for those of who who have read my other post, u now i need a tranny rebuild too.now i got about 2500-3000 to play with as far as motor and tranny. What can and should i do? i can trebuild it myself, but i could have a friend help me do a swap. please post links too, so i can start adding this up.

i say send the tranny to me or get your buddy to help you do it... if you send it to me it'll cost about 500, and todo it yourself will be 200-300 + what how ever much beer you drink while doing it

.... so that will help save some extra money for the motor rebuild.....

y didn't you use the shoulder and get a wrecker???

Buy a stroker kit from me. Take your motor to the machine shop and have all the work done. You should have the shortblock builr for under $2k. If you only have them do machine work and not actually assemble the shortblock, you can probably be in it for ~$1500.
