Default Thingy next to the oil filter

Whats the name of the little silver valve looking thing on the top left of the oil filter? What is that for?

That is the oil pressure sending unit.

That sending unit sends a signal to the oil pressure gauge on your dash.

No, it shouldn't be loose.
If you can tighten it, DO.

Are you losing oil there?

Cant tell if its dripping from there, there is oil all around it though.......My oil pressure gauge works....Does it just screw on or what? Thanks

well if theres oil all around it than your loosing oil there....just screw it in until its tight, but dont strip it!
