Also, I dont wanna see Mercury go away, I am just stating what I read in the Ford magazine we have at school. I dont think Mercury will go away but they were planning on it, but then they put it off, and then they put it off again, So I dont think that Mercury will go away. What do you do for FoMoCo?

I am a Service Engineer. Basically, when you take your Ford/Lincoln/Mercury to a dealer and nobody at the dealer can figure out what's wrong or how to fix it, they can call a hotline of specialists that diagnose their problem over the phone and tell them what to do. I am one of those specialists. I do gas engine driveability (check engine lights, misfires, lack of power, fuel economy, engine noise, buck, jerk, spit, sputter, oil consumption - you name it).
GM is huge, but at Toyota's current production and sales rate, they are projected to pass GM in less than one year. It is going to happen, there is really no way it can't unless something REALLY drastic happens.

Maybe in automotive sales, but I doubt the size of the company. GM is involved in EVERYTHING from Millitary, to industrial, government contracts, to civilian vehicles. I highly doubt our government would hire a Japaneese company for any of that stuff.

Oh, no. You're right there, but the "size" of the company is measured in sales and capital. Toyota/Lexus has owned the foreign markets for a long time and they will be worth more than GM and have more overall sales by the end of the year. I saw a really interesting article in Automotive News not too long ago... I will see if I can find you guys a link to it when I get back from traffic court ...... yay! I get to argue a ticket! ........Registration ticket...... bastards wrote me two in one week! If the state of Michigan didn't take forever to send my tabs back I would'nt have gotten the first ticket! Bloodsucking bastards!
