Default 5.4L question

Sorry, this question isn't about a mustang but it is a Ford. I just bought a extremely nice 98 F-150. The truck ran perfect until tonight when I did a good detail on it, including the engine. When you are at a lower rpm the truck shakes. It does it really bad in overdrive. Did I get water in something I shouldn't have? If so what is it and will it dry on its own or do I need to dry it myself?

You have water in your distributer cap/ coil packs. Take off your plug wires one at a time and clean them out and blow them out good with air then spray some PB blaster into them and when your done it should run fine and if you have a distributer, take off the cap and clean that off as well in the inside

i would pop the coilpacks off and see if there is water in the plug holes. also just fyi, those 5.4's and 4.6's in the trucks are kinda known for the coilpacks just going out all of a sudden.

you got water down in the spark plug holes in the head, probly shortd out a coil pack, happens all the time. Mostlikley 3,4, 7 and 8. you will have to see exaclt which cylinder is missing and replace the coil. but i would pull all of the coils and blow he water and dirt out the holes anyway, if you havent driven it too much the coil pack may not be ruinned.
